And it flys! We shot some video but it’s not really very good, WAY too dark. I’ll put something up tomorrow once we’ve done a bit more tweaking.

I can report though that it was incredibly stable, by far the most stable build to date. It also had no problem with thrust/weight (This was a concern with the size) and lifted off at about 45% throttle.

It’s about 5’ across, carries a single 5000mAH LiPo, 880KV motors and 12” props. We’ve estimated it has approximately a 2:1 thrust to weight ratio and are contemplating adding another 5000mAH in parallel to act as functional ballast. 

I’m extremely excited by our first test flight.
